Dr. Jon Wolfson

Dr. Jon Wolfson

Dr. Wolfson purchased RCCC from Dr. Robert Powell in 2001. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Wolfson received bachelor's and master's degrees from UCLA before moving to Northern California to study veterinary medicine.  Dr. Wolfson received his DVM degree in 1982 from UC Davis.  He operated a small animal practice in Rio Linda for many years before coming to RCCC. Dr. Wolfson enjoys all aspects of practice but has a special fondness for surgery, dentistry and ultrasonography.

Dr. Wolfson enjoys fly fishing for trout, salmon and even bass.  He and his spouse, Brenda, have a daughter, two sons, and several grandchildren. As empty nesters, they enjoy their spare time taking frequent bicycle rides along the American River and hikes in the coastal hills.

 Dr. Heather Kennedy

Dr. Kennedy is the newest doctor in our practice-joining us in June 2015.  She is a 2013 graduate of the UC Davis Veterinary School where she was president of the Feline Medicine Club and a Coordinator for The Feral Cat Project. Dr. Kennedy was inspired to become a veterinarian through her work with cat rescue shelters. She was featured in an article for Cat Fancy Magazine in February 2012 entitled Feline Inspiration: Fostering Sick Shelter Cats Inspired Heather Kennedy to Become a Veterinarian.

 Dr. Wendy Salaguinto

  Dr. Wendy Salaguinto

Dr. Salaguinto joined our family in 2011. She is a 2003 graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine where she was a member of the Phi Zeta Honor Society. Although she loved living in the Midwest,  Dr. Salaguinto is a Northern California native.  After graduation she moved back to the Sacramento Region to be closer to family and friends.  She has always had a natural magnetism for cats and is excited to fullfill her lifelong dream to work with them exclusively.

In her spare time Dr. Salaguinto enjoys tending to her rose and vegetable gardens, updating and decorating her vintage Land Park home, walking the dog or riding her bike, web-surfing, and spending time with her family. She and her spouse, Ed, have two young children, Elaina and Wesley, and a big pet family of 4 cats, 2 dogs and tropical fish.

As of March 1, 2015-Dr. Nicole Moulin has decided to put family first in her life. She has put her veterinary career on hold so that she can stay at home full-time and take care of her two sweet young babies. We will miss her dearly!
